And My devotees who are full of respect and humility, should give reception to gurus, kings, the elderly, ascetics, the learned, and those that do penance, by standing respectfully when they arrive, offering a seat, addressing them with sweet words, and performing other similar displays of reverence.
Verse 70
ane guru, deva ne raajaa emane sameepe tathaa sabhaane vishe paga upara paga chadhaaveene na besavu tathaa vastre kareene dheechanane baandheene na besavu. And in front of a guru, deity, or king, or while in a sabhaa (religious gathering), one should not sit with one leg on top of the other or with clothing tied to the knees.
Verse 71
ane amaaraa aashrita je sarva satsangee temane potaanaa aachaarya sangaathe kyaareya pana vivaada na karavo ane potaanaa saamarthya pramaane anna, dhana, vastraadike kareene te potaanaa aachaaryane poojavaa. And all devotees under My shelter should never argue with their Acharyas, and according to their capacity, honor and serve their Acharyas with food, money, clothes and the like.
Verse 72
amaaraa je aashritajana temane potaanaa aachaaryane aavataa saambhaleene aadara thakee tatkaala sanmukha javu ane te aachaarya potaanaa gaamathee paachhaa padhaare tyaare gaamanee bhaagola sudhee valaavavaa javu. Those under My shelter should immediately come with care and respect when they hear of the Acharya's arrival, and when the Acharya leaves, they should go to the outskirts of the town to send him off.
Verse 73
And even if an activity is fruitful but is outside of dharma, one should definitely not perform that activity, because dharma fufills all efforts. Thus, because of greed for some fruitful result, one should not forsake dharma.
Verse 74
ane poorve thayaa je motaa purusha temane pana jo kyaareya adharmaacharana karyu hoya to tenu grahana na karavu ane temane je dharmaacharana karyu hoya to tenu grahana karavu. And one should not accept or emulate the conduct of previous motaa purush (great men, saints, incarnations, etc.) that is not within the bounds of dharma, but only accept those aspects of their conduct that is within dharma.
Verse 75
ane koeenee pana je gruhyavaartaa te to koee thekaane pana prakaasha karavee ja nahi ane je jeevanu jevee reete sanmaana karavu ghatatu hoya tenu tevee reete ja sanmaana karavu pana samadrashtie kareene e maryaadaanu ullanghana karavu nahi. And others' secrets should not be revealed. And always show the appropriate amount of respect (to others) but out of a perspective of equality, the limits of courtesy should not be crossed.
Verse 76
ane amaaraa je sarve satsangee temane chaaturamaasane vishe vishesha niyama dhaaravo ane je manushya asamartha hoya temane to eka shraavana maasane vishe vishesha niyama dhaaravo. And all of My devotees should observe special niyams (practice or conduct) during chaturmaas (4 months of monsoon) and those who are incapable, should (at least) observe special niyams during (the Indian month of) Shravan (which is the second month of chaturmaas).
Verse 77
ane te vishesha niyama te kiyaa to bhagavaananee kathaanu shravana karavu tathaa kathaa vaachavee tathaa bhagavaananaa gunanu keertana karavu tathaa panchaamruta snaane kareene bhagavaananee mahaapoojaa karavee tathaa bhagavaananaa mantrano japa karavo tathaa stotrano paatha karavo tathaa bhagavaanane pradakshinaao karavee. And the important niyams to follow are: listen to stories of God, read holy stories, sing of Godís qualities, offer mahapooja (ritual worship) by bathing the image of God in panchamrut [milk, butter, yogurt, sugar, and honey], chant Godís mantra, recite stotra, do pradikshinaa [ritual of circling clockwise around the image] of God.
Verse 78
And fully prostrate before God. I have considered these eight niyams of the highest value. Thus, during chomaas (same as chaturmaas) devoutedly perform any one of these practices.
Verse 79
All should respectfully observe ekaadashi (fasting on the 11th day of every half-month), and respectfully observe days like Janmashthami (the Birthday of Shree Krishna Bhagwan) and Shivaratri (in honor of Lord Shiva). On these days of observance, hold large festivals.
Verse 80
ane je divase vratano upavaasa karyo hoya te divase atishaya yatne kareene divasanee nindraano tyaaga karavo, kema je jema maithune kareene manushyanaa upavaasano naasha thaaya chhe tema ja divasanee nidraae kareene manushyanaa upavaasano naasha thaee jaaya chhe. And the day a fast is being observed, be very alert not to sleep during the daytime, because just as by intercourse, one's fast is destroyed, similarly sleeping during the daytime destroys one's fast.
Verse 81
And Shree Viththalnathji, the son of Shree Vallabhacharya who is the king of all Vaishnav (devotees), has demarcated the days of observance and festivals.
Verse 82
And all should follow the days of observance and festivals as decided by Shree Viththalnathji, and only accept the method of worship and service to Shree Krishna as described by Shree Viththalnathji.
Verse 83
ane sarve je amaaraa aashrita temane dvaarikaa aadika je teertha temanee yaatraa je te potaanaa saamarthya pramaane yathaavidhie kareene karavee ane valee potaanaa saamarthya pramaane deena janane vishe dayaavaana thaavu. And all under My shelter should go to pilgrimage places like Dwarka and according to their capacity, offer due rites, and also according to their capacity, be compassionate toward the poor.
Verse 84
ane amaaraa je aashrita temane vishnu, shiva, ganapati, paarvatee ane soorya e paacha deva poojyapane kareene maanavaa. And those under My shelter should respectfully believe in these 5 deities: Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, Ganapati (or Ganesh), Parvati (Lord Shiva's consort), and Surya (the sun-god).
Verse 85
ane jo kyaareka bhootapretaadikano upadrava thaaya tyaare to naaraayanakavachano japa karavo athavaa hanumaananaa mantrano japa karavo pana e vinaa beejaa koee kshudra devanaa stotra ane mantrano japa na karavo. And if disturbance from ghostly spirits is ever experienced, chant the Narayankavach or Hanuman's mantra, but one should not chant the stotra or mantra of any low deity.
Verse 86
ane sooryanu ne chandramaanu grahana thaye sate amaaraa je sarve satsangee temane beejee sarve kriyaano tatkaala tyaaga kareene pavitra thaeene shreekrushna bhagavaananaa mantrano japa karavo. And when there is a solar or lunar eclipse, all of My devotees should immediately forgo other activities, and having become pure, chant the mantra of Shree Krishna Bhagwan.
Verse 87
ane te grahana mukaaee rahyaa pachhee vastrasahita snaana kareene je amaaraa gruhastha satsangee hoya temane potaanaa saamarthya pramaane daana karavu ane je tyaagee hoya temane bhagavaananee poojaa karavee. And after the eclipse is over, take a bath (with clothes on), and My houselholder devotees should give alms according to their capacity, and the ascetics should perform pooja (worship God).
Verse 88
ane amaaraa satsangee evaa je chaare varnanaa manushya temane janmanu sootaka tathaa marananu sootaka te pota potaanaa sambandhane anusaare kareene yathaashaastra paalavu. And My devotees of the four classes should observe the sutak (period of impurity during which certain religious activities are restricted) of their relatives' births and deaths as stated in the scriptures.
Verse 89
ane je braahmana varna hoya temane shama, dama, kshamaa ane santosha e aadika je guna temane yukta thavu ane je kshatriya varna hoya temane shooraveerapanu ane dheeraja e aadika je guna temane yukta thavu. And brahmin should cultivate qualities like tranquility, penance, forgiveness, and contentment. And kshatriya should cultivate qualities such as bravery and patience.
Verse 90
ane vaishya varna hoya temane krushikarma tathaa vanaja vyaapaara tathaa vyaajavato e aadika je vruttio temane kareene vartavu ane je shoodra varna hoya temane braahmanaadika trana varnanee sevaa karavee e aadika je vruttio temane kareene vartavu. And vaishya should engage in farming, trading, financing, and the like activities according to their instincts. And shoodra should serve the three classes according to their instincts.
Verse 91
ane je dvija hoya temane garbhaadhaanaadika sanskaara tathaa aahnika tathaa shraaddha e trana je te potaanaa gruhya sootrane anusaare kareene jevo jeno avasara hoya ane jevee dhanasampatti hoya te pramaane karavaa. And those that are dvij (brahmin, kshatriya, and vaishya) should perform the sanskaars (specific rituals during the lifetime, of which there are 16 major ones) such as during a pregnancy, the daily rituals, and shraad (remembering ancestors), at the proper time, according to the family's customs and capacity.
Verse 92
ane kyaareka jaane athavaa ajaane jo naanu motu paapa thaee jaaya to potaanee shakti pramaane te paapanu praayashchita karavu. And if knowingly or unknowingly, a little or big sin is committed, according to one's strength, the appropriate repentance should be done.
Verse 93
ane chaara veda tathaa vyaasasutra tathaa shreemadbhaagavata naame puraana tathaa mahaabhaaratane vishe to shree vishnusahastranaama. And the four Vedas, the Vyas-Sutra, the Shreemad Bhagavat Puran, the Shree Vishnu Sahasranaam in the Mahabharat,
Verse 94
tathaa shreebhagavadgeetaa tathaa vidurajeee kahelee je neeti tathaa skanda puraanano je vishnukhanda tene vishe rahyu evu je shreevaasudeva maahaatmya. The Bhagavad Gita, the Vidur Niti, Shree Vasudev Mahatmay in the Vishnu khand (section) of the Skand Puran,
Verse 95
And the Yaagnavalkya Smruti which is at the center of the Dharma Scriptures - I have the highest esteem for these 8 holy scriptures.
Verse 96
And all My disciples who wish to prosper should listen to these 8 holy scriptures, and dvij under My shelter should learn and teach these holy scriptures and read them to others.
Verse 97
ane te aatha sachchhaastramaathee aachaara, vyavahaara ane praayashchita e tranano je nirnaya karavo tene vishe to mitaaksharee teekaae yukta evee je yaagnyavalkyarushinee smruti tenu grahana karavu. And (methods of) conduct, social dealings, and repentance as prescribed in the Mitakshar (properly written) commentary of Yaagnavalkya's Smruti, among the 8 holy scriptures, should be accepted.
Verse 98
And also of the 8 holy scriptures, the Shreemad Bhagavat Puran's 10th and 5th skands (cantos) should be considered the best way to learn of Shree Krishna Bhagwan's glory.
Verse 99
ane dashamaskandha tathaa panchamaskandha tathaa yaagnyavalkyanee smruti e je trana te anukrame kareene amaaru bhaktishaastra yogashaastra ane dharmashaastra chhe kahetaa dashamaskandha te bhaktishaastra chhe ane panchamaskandha te yogashaastra chhe ane yaagnyavalkyanee smruti te dharmashaastra chhe ema jaanavu. And know that the 10th canto (of the Shreemad Bhagavat Puran) is the book on devotion, the 5th canto (of the Shreemad Bhagavat Puran) is the book on yoga (union with God), and Yaagnavaklya's Smruti is the book on dharma.
Verse 100
And know that the commentary on the Vyas-Sutra and the Bhagavad Gita by Shree Ramanujacharya is the center of My spirituality.
Verse 101
The reverent statements given in the 8 holy scriptures relating to Shree Krishna Bhagwan's svaroop, dharma, devotion, and vairaagya (detachment from worldly things).
Verse 102
Those statements should be regarded more highly (than others) and the essence of all the holy scriptures is to perform Shree Krishna Bhagwan's devotion with dharma.
Verse 103
Dharma should be known as the good conduct expressed in the Shruti and Smruti (originally-heard and memorized scriptures). Bhakti should be known as great love for Shree Krishna Bhagwan supported by true knowledge of His glory. 8/22, 11/259
Verse 104
ane shreekrushna bhagavaana vinaa anya padaarthamaa preeti nahi te vairaagya jaanavo ane jeeva, maayaa ane eeshvara temanaa svaroopane je roodee reete jaanavu tene gnyaana kaheee. Vairaagya should be known as as not having a liking for anything except Shree Krishna Bhagwan. Comprehensive knowledge of the forms of jiva (souls), maya (illusion), and Ishvar (God) is gnyaan. 8/22, 11/259
Verse 105
ane je jeeva chhe te hradayane vishe rahyo chhe ne anu sarakho sukshma chhe ne chaitanyaroopa chhe ne jaananaaro chhe. ane potaanee gnyaanashaktie kareene nakhathee shikhaaparyanta samagra potaanaa deha pratye vyaapeene rahyo chhe ane achhedhya, abhedhya, ajara, amara ityaadika chhe lakshana jenaa, evo jeeva chhe ema jaanavo. And the jiva, which resides in the heart, is minutely subtle. It is the pure spirit and the knower. And by its strength of knowing, it pervades the entire body from toe to head, and should be known to have qualities such as being indivisible, indestructible, non-aging, and eternal.
Verse 106
And maya should be known to be composed of the three gunas (modes of nature - sattva, raajas, taamas). It is full of darkness (or ignorance) and is the power of Shree Krishna Bhagwan. It is that which makes the soul identify and attach with the body and its relations.
Verse 107
And just as the soul dwells in the heart, Ishvar should be known to omnisciently dwell in the soul (or as a witness of the inner-self). It is independent and is the giver of fruit to the soul, according to the karma (deeds) of the soul.
Verse 108
And that Ishvar is Shree Krishna Bhagwan (Shree Swaminarayan Bhagwan), who is supreme Parabrahm Purushottam, our Ishtadev (principal deity), worthy of worship, and the cause of all incarnations.
Verse 109
And when supreme Shree Krishna is with Radhikaji He should be known by the name RadhaKrishna, and when He is with Rukmani (who is Lakshmiji), He should be known by the name LakshmiNarayan. 5/427, 11/259
Verse 110
And when that Shree Krishna is with Arjun, He should be known by the name NaraNarayan, and when with Balabhadra (or Balarama, Shree Krishna's elder brother) and others, He is known by various other names. 5/427, 11/259
Verse 111
And Radhikaji and such devotees, are sometimes at the side of Shree Krishna Bhagwan, and sometimes by great love, remain as one with Shree Krishna Bhagwan - at such times, Shree Krishna Bhagwan should be considered as being alone. 5/427, 11/259
Verse 112
For that reason, all the various forms of Shree Krishna Bhagwan should be known to be the same. And perceived differences such as having 4 arms, 8 arms, or 1000 arms, should be known to occur solely by the will of Shree Krishna Bhagwan who originally has 2 arms. 5/427, 11/259
Verse 113
And everyone on this earth should offer devotion to that Shree Krishna Bhagwan and know that apart from devotion, there is no other means to attain liberation.
Verse 114
ane vidhyaadika gunavaalaa je purusha temanaa gunavaanapanaanu e ja parama phala jaanavu, kayu to je shreekrushna bhagavaanane vishe bhakti karavee ne satsanga karavo ane ema bhakti ne satsanga e be vinaa to vidvaana hoya te pana adhogatine paame chhe. The ultimate result of intelligence and like qualities is devotion to Shree Krishna Bhagwan and satsang (saintly association). For without devotion and satsang, even a learned person descends on the spiritual path. 5/427
Verse 115
And Shree Krishna Bhagwan and Shree Krishna Bhagwan's incarnations alone are worthy of meditation. Similarly, Shree Krishna Bhagwan's images are worthy. And men or demigods, even if they are devotees of Shree Krishna Bhagwan or brahmavettaa (knower of divinity), they are still not worthy of meditation - and thus one should not meditate upon them.
Verse 116
Understanding the soul to be brahmaroopa and separate from the three bodies (gross, subtle, and causation), at all times, offer devotion to Shree Krishna Bhagwan. 11/259
Verse 117
And respectfully listen to the 10th canto of the Shreemad Bhagavat Puran regularly or (at least) once a year. Learned persons should read it everyday, or (at least) once a year.
Verse 118
ane e je dashamaskandha tenu purashvarana je te punya sthaanakane vishe potaanaa saamarthya pramaane karavu, karaavavu ane valee vishnusahastranaama aadika je sachchhaastra tenu purashvarana pana potaanaa saamarthya pramaane karavu karaavavu, te purashvarana kevu chhe to potaanaa manavaanchhita phalane aape evu chhe. And either recite or have the 10th canto, and also other holy scriptures like the Vishnu Sahasranaam, recited at a holy place according to one's capacity. The recital is such that it gives fruits according to whatever is desired.
Verse 119
ane kashtanee denaaree evee koee daivasambandhee aapadaa aavee pade tathaa manushyasambandhee aapadaa aavee pade tathaa rogaadika aapadaa aavee pade tene vishe jema potaanee ne beejaanee rakshaa thaaya tema vartavu pana beejee reete na vartavu. And if troubles due to demigods (e.g. natural calamities), (other) people, or diseases are experienced, then behave such that one self and others are saved, but not otherwise.
Verse 120
And in matters of conduct, social affairs, and repentance, know the appropriate actions according to the place and time and according to one's age, means, caste, and capacity.
Verse 121
And know that My philosophy is vishisht-advait (special-oneness: in devotion, the devotee identifies with God, but God still infinitely transcends all). Also, know that I prefer the heaven of Golok and I believe mukti (liberation) to be the brahmaroopa service of Shree Krishna Bhagwan.
Verse 122
ane aa je poorve sarve dharma kahyaa te je te amaaraa aashrita je tyaagee, gruhastha baaee-bhaaee sarve satsangee temanaa saamaanya dharma kahyaa chhe kahetaa sarva satsangee maatrane sarakhaa paalavaanaa chhe ane have e sarveno je vishesha dharma chhe temane pruthak pruthak pane kareene kaheee chheee. And all the aspects of dharma as stated above commonly apply to all renunciant and householder male and female devotees under My shelter, and are thus to be followed by all devotees alike. Now, I will individually explain each group's special dharma.
Verse 123
Now first I will share the special dharma for the Acharyas (of the religious line) and their wives. My older and younger brothers' sons, Ayodhyaprasad and Raghuvir, should never preach to (or initiate) women that are not their close relatives.
Verse 124
And never touch or speak with those women (that are not their close relatives), nor be cruel to anyone, nor keep any other person's money.
Verse 125
ane vyavahaara kaaryane vishe kenu pana jamaanagaru na karavu ane koi aapatkaala aavee pade to bhikshaa maageene potaano nirvaaha kareene te aapatkaalane ullanghavo pana koinu karaja to kyaareya na karavu. And in social dealings, they should not become someone's guarantor, and during hard times, endure the hardship by asking for alms, but never incur a debt. 10/56
Verse 126
And they should not sell the food grains given (for religious purpose) by disciples, and old food grains can be given to someone in exchange for new food grains (as this exchange is not considered selling).
Verse 127
ane bhaadaravaa shudee chaturtheene divase ganapatinee poojaa karavee tathaa aaso vadee chaturdasheene divase hanumaanajeenee poojaa karavee. And perform the worship of Ganpati on Bhadarvo sud 4, and Hanumanji on Aso vad 14.
Verse 128
ane amaare aashrita je sarve satsangee temanaa dharmanee rakshaa karavaane arthe e sarvenaa gurupanaane vishe ame sthaapana karyaa evaa je te ayodhyaaprasaada ane raghuveera temane mumukshu janane deekshaa aapavee. And for the protection of the dharma of all devotees under My shelter, I have established as gurus, Ayodhyaprasad and Raghuvir, who should give initiation to aspirants.
Verse 129
ane potaanaa aashrita je sarve satsangee temane adhikaara pramaane pota potaanaa dharmane vishe raakhavaa ane saadhune aadara thakee maanavaa tathaa sachchhaastrano abhyaasa aadara thakee karavo. And keep all devotees under their shelter, according to their right, within the limits of their respective dharma. They should respect and follow saadhus, and reverentially study holy scriptures.
Verse 130
And the svaroops of Shree Krishna, such as Shree LakshmiNarayan, that I have established in large temples should be worshipped (or served) with due rites.
Verse 131
ane bhagavaananaa mandira pratye aavyo je harakoee annaarthee manushya tenee potaanaa saamarthya pramaane annanaa daane kareene aadara thakee sambhaavanaa karavee. And anyone who has come to God's temple seeking food should be given food and treated respectfully according to capacity.

And the kings should fully understand the following attributes of a successful king: the 7 inclinations for administration, the 4 ways for occupation, the 6 qualities for diplomacy, and where to send emissaries. Kings should fully know the qualities of members knowledgeable in social affairs, and what makes someone deserving or not deserving of punishment.
